Preventing Homelessness for Young People
Greater Manchester Better Outcomes Partnership (GMBOP) is a partnership of mission led organisations, commissioned by GMCA, working together to improve outcomes for young people across Manchester.
Our goal is to support young people at risk of homelessness before they reach a crisis point.
We work with young people to build confidence and resilience to avoid longer term homelessness, while enabling them to sustain an existing tenancy or move into new accommodation.
The Pathfinder
Pathfinder is a three-year homelessness prevention programme for young people across Greater Manchester. The programme has been designed to work with young people who are experiencing or are at risk of homelessness.
Pathfinder puts the young person at the centre: we don’t just help with housing, we can help with many other areas of life, to help young people reach stability and achieve their potential.

Our Partners
For the Pathfinder our partnership includes DePaul, a specialist youth homeless charity with a strong presence and reputation across Greater Manchester.
We would like to expand this partnership and want to work with other local VCSE and community-based organisations to provide additional support, activities and interventions to help build young people’s skills, resilience and well-being.
If you are you an organisation supporting young people in Greater Manchester we want to hear from you. Please get in touch here:
